«Hors les Murs Monaco» Expertise within reach With the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, "Hors les Murs à Monaco" des Grands Ateliers de France is a unique occasion for admiring the most beautiful creations of French craftsmanship. From 20th to 24th October, 2010, the Port Palace Monte Carlo will become a treasure chest of pieces created especially for this first exhibition organised in the Principality by 'Be. Exclusive', founded in 2004 by Bruno Lavagna. The Grands Ateliers de France association is a selection of traditional workshops that produce quality crafts in the areas of art, decorative arts, and the art of living well. The seventy craft disciplines they represent include internationally renowned companies committed to protecting the heritage of the past and present. Time, space, and place : for a unique creation! For this debut in Monte Carlo, the exhibition will be a unique opportunity to demonstrate the value beyond the country's borders of this uniqueness, and reach an audience of connoisseurs that shore a passion for rare objects and materials. This exhibition provides an opportunity for propitious new encounters. Serge Amoruso whose creations leather are enriched by his attention to innovative technology constant search for quality skins ; Mary Beyer, creator of high fashion jewellery and accessories ; Patrick Blanchard, who sculpts wood re-inventing and re-thinking ornamentation in the creation of object and furniture ; Christian Bonnet, who is versed in the art of création tortoise shell frames for glasses ; Fanny Boucher, etcher, who had extended her expertise to include interior decoration and furniture decoration, integrating engraved metals, copper, brass and steel. Paintings done by four hand where pigments and gold, opacity and brilliance play cleverly with the light are done by Manuela Paul Cavalier and Guillaume Martel ; Reinhardt von Nagel produces harpsichords with extraordinary acoustic and artistic qualities ; Catherine Nicolas practises the art of locquering; Thomas Niemann forges iron as if it were modelling doy ; Nicolas Salagnac perpetuates the antique art of engraving medallions ; Nelly Saunier creates accessories and jewels out of rare feathers, though without endangering birds risking extinction. Jean-Luc Seigneur's embossed style of engraving is very striking ; Pietro Seminelli, textile artist, develops and displays his fabrics ; Jackie Vignon, book binder, restores books, and also creates box cases for ort books and collections ; Ludwig Vogelgesang and Dominique, whose passion for beautiful things is the inspiration for their cabinet making, and Christian Thirot for who sextants, world and planetary globes, sundials, and glasses and telescopes with their intricate series of mirrors, represent an ocean of knowledge which deepens his passion for antique scientific instruments.
